Ford Fiesta 1.6 SXI v/s Honda City ZX EXI
I am now assuming the role of an expert and advising my son Shirish to buy one of these cars.
I remember, in my young days I was a bi-cycle expert, I will take a ride on my friend's cycles and give them un-invited comments. But today, my son Shirish has invited my opinion. Afterall, I am driving cars since 1972 and also,I am father of another car crazy son Dushyant, who nicknames himself as "CAR". So, I assume, I have all the qualifications to voice my opinions.
Honda is effortless, pleasant to drive. Exteriors are stylish and interiors are spacious. Engine is soundless and Cabin is quiet.
Ford has a punch. You get a feeling of powerful engine, a Tiger packed with energy, eager to leap. Overtaking is effortless. Lacks in finishing of exteriors and interiors. Car is compact and you get a feeling that it is not wide enough. Ford has peculiar noise, may be from Engine, but you hear the same in Cabin.
I was born in India having many constraints. In New India things are freely available. But, we had fewer choices and not enough money. It was in 1980 I bought a Fiat 1966 Model( Padmini), when only other choice available was Amabassador. I was supposed to be a driver who likes speeding. I had this car for ten Years and I could never reach a speed of 100 Kmph in my Fiat. It was in my first Maruti 800, I could achieve a speed of 100 Kmph. Both my sons sitting in the rear seat were cheering me up. We had our glasses up and kept our windows close, so that the mother seating in front seat will not notice fast running of engine. I touched a speed of 100 kmph and both my sons holding their breath heaved a sigh of relief and joy. Something was then achieved.
Thus reaching 100 Kmph has always been a Mile stone for me when driving a Car.
Reaching a speed of 50 kmph is easy in ford but ford drags a little bit when you are trying for 100 kmph. Whereas, Honda will need extra rev for reaching 50 kmph. However, I found reaching 50 to 100 kmph was easier in Honda than Ford.
Thus I found Ford fast responding in traffic, but lacking when increasing speed in overdrive. ( 5th Gear)
Turning radius for both Ford and Honda is same at 4.9 Meters, but Honda has Electronic Power steering, which is very light compared to Ford and I found it was easier to take U turn in Honda rather than in Ford.
Ford has some additional features over Honda.

The opinion regarding brake system, suspension system is being left to my second son Dushyant nee "CAR" who has necessary qualifications to comment on the same.
My vote goes to Honda City ZX EXI.
