Sunset I did not see

I have been waiting all my life to see Kanyakumari. The idea of standing on a tip of land and face the entire nation used to appeal me. I heard so much about the Sunset at kanyakumari on full Moon Day. Kanyakumari - the southern tip of India surrounded by three Seas, Arebian Sea on West, Indian Ocean on South and bay of Bengal on your east. I have always imagined the wonderful sight of the Sun setting in West and Full Moon rising on East both at the same time.

And as things happened in life it was an anti climax when I actually visited Kanyakumari on 20.09.2006. The Sky was full of clouds and I have recorded the Sunset, I did not see.

Now, I know that the scenario I imagined is possible only twice in a year. The Full Moon after 23rd Sept and after 21st April, when Day and Night are of equal hours, this phenomena is possible and I still longed to be at Kanyakumari on one of these days.

too bad. But I am still glad you visted Kanyakumari! I have often noticed that best things in life come unexpected and unplanned!
